If you just join PM, make sure you removed the old sim card or eSIM

If you're using Public Mobile and you can receive texts but cannot send SMS, while mobile data and APN seem correct, try these checks:
Check SMSC (Message Center Number)
Open your phone's messaging settings.
Look for Message Center or SMSC.
For Public Mobile/Telus, it is usually:
+16134000800
If it's missing or incorrect, outgoing texts may fail.
Restart your phone
Turn it off for 30 seconds and back on.
Toggle Airplane Mode
Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then off.
Check your account
Log in to your Public Mobile account and ensure your plan is active and payments are up to date.
Try another messaging app
If using Google Messages, disable RCS Chat Features temporarily and test a regular SMS.
Reset network settings
Settings → System → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
Note: this will remove saved Wi-Fi passwords.
Test different numbers
Try sending to another Canadian mobile number.
Note the exact error message (e.g., "Not sent", "Message blocking active", error code).
