Suddenly SIM card stopped working and on my phone shows sim card error

power off the phone first then remove sim card and reinsert then power phone back on . if that doesn't work try simon

Have you tried removing the SIM card and re-inserting in case it came lose and wasn't making good contact?
Can you try the sim in another phone? Did you possibly deal with a credit card problem recently? Perhaps have a look at devicecheck.ca
