Switching from 5G plan to 4G

in 2026 PM still does not allow existing customers to switching from 5G plan to 4G. looks like the only option is to switch provider. 

does anybody knows how to Switching from 5G plan to 4G for existing customer?

while downgrade is not impossible, you usually see less choices

choose the cheapest plan you see there and use Change on Renewal to schedule the change  After the new plan kicks in, check again and see if you have any even cheaper choices

This seems to be an issue on my end aswell, I dont need or want 5G speeds at all. I want to spend less money, and seems like 4G plans are cheaper and I cant seem to change my plan from 5G to 4G...

yes I want cheaper plan. Looks like I have to cancel my plan and then apply as a new customer if I want to stay with PM. Or change provider. It is wierd that PM has cheaper plans but does not allow current customers to downgrade/switch to cheaper plan.

if i understand correctly, you just want a cheaper plan?  Please note 4G does not always means cheaper plan.   check the selection with the 5G plans and choose one you like

if you cannot find a plan with price you like, sorry, you will have to wait.  PM is now only offering plans based on your current profile and you can only choose plans offered there.    You can check back weekly for latest offering.  Or maybe choose the cheapest plan first (use Change on Renewal), after the new plan you have chosen kicked in, you could be offered some other cheaper plans after

Sorry it looks like your can’t downgrade Friday n your current plan. Lots of members try to downgrade to a lower priced plan but PM have made it impossible.

As I wrote in original message there is no option to switch to 4G if you are on 5G plan. PM does not give that option in Change Subscription. Only 5G options aee available.

Login to your account on the PM app or website then on the Subscription tab-Manage Subscription-Change Subscription. On the top of the page there is a section for All/5G/4G. Click on 4G and it will list all 4G plans you are eligible to switch to.

to save money. 4G plan is $22. My current plan is $40. 

PM does not show me any 4G plans in 'switch subscription'. PM offers only more expensive options. Looks like my only option is to change provider if I want to get a cheaper plan. Do you have any suggestions?

Why you need 4G plan? You cak use 4G or 5G networks for any plan you choose.   There is really not much difference other than speed.  So, you are not restricted to the network you connect to buy just how fast the data speed.   Just pick the plan you like with the amount of data you need
