Re: Cellular data

My mother and I are both on Public Mobile and both have iPhone 13s and we have been experiencing absolutely atrocious data for the past week and a half.  It is unusable: won't load up simple websites or app notifications.  I frequently have to turn WiFi on, but that is through a Telus Hub and also only works intermittently.  I have also been experiencing complete loss of cell signal for minutes at a time, so all I have is SOS.  I know Telus and the other big telecom companies weren't happy when the CRTC forced them to offer cheaper plans and services, so this really strikes me as Telus intentionally degrading the service on their cheapest service, Public Mobile, so PM customers will be forced to go to either Koodo or go on contract with Telus.  Evidence to this is evident in their new fast switch which allows current PM customers to instantly switch to Koodo.  I am aware that the telecoms aren't allowed to charge for switching plans and carriers anymore, so I'm sure they couch that offer as just Telus abiding by rules, but considering that they have just been sent a letter from the CRTC berating them for charging for new SIM cards, it doesn't seem like Telus is too concerned about following CRTC rules.  We need to make as many complaints as possible to the CRTC.  Telus should not be allowed to degrade a service and make it unusable just so they can push customers onto their more expensive plans.  I have tried the usual "turning my phone off and back on" and applying airplane mode, but both only give about a minute or two of useable data and then it's back to nothing.  I swear to God, this is worse than bloody dial up!

you can certainly claim down a bit.  And service/reception wise, Telus and PM no different.  Just because PM is tier 3 does not mean there is any service priority set to discriminate PM service

check if any outage in your area:
https://www.telus.com/en/ab/outages

Next, try Reboot phone and Reset network settings

and last, ask PM to reprovision your sim and account.  Simply open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. (For 2FA  code when login, use email to receive code instead of SMS if you cannot receive the text on the phone.)    When open Chatbot ticket, Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen

But if you have trouble using Chatbot to open ticket, then message PM using this link:
