Question About Data Addon

Hypothetical case: I have a plan with 6GB of data for 120 days. Say before the 120 days I use up the data I purchase. Hence I add another 3GB of data from purchase the addon. When the 120 days reach I use up 1 GB of my addon data and 2GB carry over. Next cycle I also purchase the same plan which means I have a total of 8GB. Now when I start to spend my data is it going to taken off from the plan or from my addon because the data from my addon can carry over month after month if unused?

@stonechucker, @NDesai I don't think there's a limit.  I seem to remember someone saying they had pre-purchased a bunch of them, I think it was around 6 x 1GB add-ons.  I still don't understand why anyone would purchase more than 1 at a time personally.  Given the outrageous highway-robbery (sorry PM!) of the $30/GB for the add-on, I would buy exactly how many I need (ideally none as I'd always have enough in the plan I chose since the plan data is MUCH cheaper) and only buy then if and when needed.  

But yes @stonechucker you can buy multiples and they are additive, and non-expiring.

It will add data to your existing add-on data remaining. I am not sure if there is any limit on it.

From my understanding ShawnC13's answer is spot on.

The data addon is only used after you have used up all your data in your reg plan and will carry forward until it is all used up.

As said above, your add-on data will not be used until you have used all your data included in your plan.

@siuolly  you need to think of it as two separate things as that is what they are.  YOu will have your 6gb data plan plus 2gb of data remaining out of the 3 you purchased.  Your data addons are only going to be used when you have used all your data in your plan before the renewal date, and is carried over month to month until is all used up.
