Purchasing a SIM Card

KuldipK

Hello I'd like to purchase a new SIM Card  for my daughter and want to make sure it arrives before March 31 (to recieve the $25 refferal credit.

If I purchase it online it says it will arive between 3-7 business days, so technically it can arrive on April 2nd at the very latest (which I do not want to risk).

Can I also purchase a new SIM Card from a Public mobile authorized dealer? like this one

6677 Meadowvale Town Centre Cir, Mississauga, ON L5N 2R5

and do I have to ask them to not activate the sim card? or do I just purchase it and exit the store?

For what it's worth:

Ordered mine this past Saturday and it arrived today (Wednesday).  I live in the Lower Mainland in BC.

So...took 3 business days for me.

You can purchase a SIM card from an authorized retailer and it should cost you no more than $11.30 including tax. Go onto the actívate site for public mobile - https://activate.publicmobile.ca and make sure to follow the necessary steps to receive the bonus! I purchased my SIM card from City Cellutions at 1072 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6H 1M6. Great customer service and they even helped me out with all questions related to Public Mobile!

@KuldipK Someone has already mentioned where you can get it. There is no obligation to activate the SIM card at the store. You can even go to Superstore in which the mobile kiosk has the SIM card sold too. You have to activate online in order to get the $25 rewards.

Nothing wrong with authorized dealers. In fact some of dealers also sell them online from their website for $10.00.

The best way to go would be to purchase it at any of the participating retail stores:
Wallmart, the mobile shop, London Drugs, Wow Mobile Boutique, K-Mobile.

When you get home, activate the sim online and port the old number if you want that.

If you have a "MOBILE SHOP" near you , they will sell you a Public Mobile SIM outright and you activate it yourself online. They can activate it for you, but then you will not get the online promotion of referring your daughter [ currently $25 for each of you]. You can also get them at WalMart , but they will not sell the SIM outright . They will only sell to you if you activate a new line.If they do that , then like I said you will miss our on the refer a friend promotion.

Cheers

Yes you can  Just purchase it and activate it at home and don't forget to claim the $25 referral on each account. Please note that you will have to create a seperate account for your daughter with a different email address.

Some stores allow refuse to sell unless you activate there.  There's really no gurantee it will arrive on time, but you might be fine ordering online since Public Mobile ships sim cards from Mississauga.

It is better to purchase from an authorized dealer like WoW! Mobile or The Mobile Shop. Check for all authorized dealer here.

@KuldipK You can go to a London Drugs, WOW Mobile, K Mobile, or Walmart near you. You don't have to buy a plan instore, but some locations may try to make you buy a plan there, especially Walmart.
