I activated my plan with a temporary number this morning and it worked fine. When I attempted to port my old number to this sim card, I received the text to confirm the switch, and the text telling me to restart my phone.
When I did restart with the new sim card, the data icon is flickering and it's telling me that I have no data. I did call the porting help line and they told me that the number has been properly ported, and after a few restarts and resetting the mobile network, it was recommendations I reach out here for an answer.
I will note here that if my husband calls the temp number, it does not go through, but if he calls the ported number, it will ring on his end without the call coming through. Also, I sent him a text message with the "ported" number, but the call display still showed up as the temporary number.
Please help.

So, I went to take a look at the settings, like suggested, and I noticed that under the sim manager, the ported number was showing. I turned off the wifi and there is data now and a stable connection! I guess the porting process took a little longer than expected, but everything seems fine now. Thanks!
