I opened a PM account on Nov 19 to catch the promotion deadline. Now I have the PM phone number and SIM card which is working fine.
My Rogers account in 2-yr contract will expire on Nov 20. Now I want to do the porting without early cancellation panelty.
I just port my Rogers number into the my PM account using the self-serve. At the end it says "Phone number change successful". I have a question:
Do I need a new SIM card after the porting?

There is no cancellation fee from Rogers what you would have had to pay out was any amount remaining on any subsidized phone you had from them. We are basically tied to the company for the amount of the phone they have financed for us basically. My plan was not up iuntil Dec 1 2017 and all I had to do was pay out $99.99 for what was remaining on my wifes phone.
For your questions yes your current PM sim is the one you need and you should be able to port with no issues as long as you have not cancelled your Rogers account. The porting process does that for you.

the existing SIM card you ahve from PM will be the one you need to use from your port. No new one is required.
