The transfer number option is only for briging a phone number from another carrier. it says invalid number because your phone numberr is already on your Public Mobile account.

No, that is how you will keep your phone number. They do not allow you to transfer eSIM.

My old phone had an eSIM, so I can’t change that, does buying a new esim change my number?

If your phone broke and you got a new phone all you have to do is take the SIM card from the old phone snd put in the new phone.
If you want to get eSIM, then download the Public Mobile app to the new phone and purchase eSIM from Account section.

There should be an option to send the code ti your email address.
Click didnt receive this code? And select email. The code will be sent to your email address on file which you can then use to log into your account.
