I set up my Public Mobile account With an eSIM and a number from Public Mobile. Today I was able to transfer my existing phone number to Public Mobile from Telus. My phone is active and working, but in my cellular settings, the eSIM still reflects the original phone number. How do I change that or do I even need to? Thanks

I followed your steps and my phone both sends and receives in the new number. I did a restart, but nothing has changed on the eSIM, it still shows the original number when I set up the account.
I agree that as long as everything is working, I’m not going to worry about it

I have seen this same thing happen at various carriers with the phone number read from the SIM card is incorrect but it shouldn't affect your service. Sometimes, the correct phone number doesn't get pushed to the SIM and saved there. If you haven't already tried this, restart your phone. Make an outgoing phone call, and if the phone number shown on the that person's phone is your correct phone number, there shouldn't be any need to change the number saved on the SIM card.
