Payment Issues

Liamadir

I am trying to pay using a credit card but it just keeps writing that it could not complete the transaction and that my credit card was not charged. It is not providing any further information or any solution ideas.

Could this be because my credit card is not canaidian? It doesn't say anything about that anywhere.

Any suggestions or ideas are welcome!

My account is suspended because my autopay didn’t process. I get an error of insufficient funds. I have my ScotiaBank Visa debt account set up as autopay. It’s worked every other month with no issues. Now today it’s not working. I have the funds available but it didn’t process. Even Welshmen I log into my account and manually click on make a payment, I keep getting the same error message.

@Liamadir Your other option is to purchase vouchers at a retail store; they accept a broader range of credit cards. Often they are not displayed but must be requested at the cash register.

For vouchers check these stores:

  • Esso
  • Shopper's Drug Market
  • Canadian Tire Gas Bar
  • Shell
  • Hasty Market
  • Ultramar
  • Uniprix
  • Walmart
  • WOW Mobile (will activate SIM too)
  • K Mobile
  • Jean Coutu
  • Pharmaprix

If this is not your first payment just ignore me.

I had problems with my AMEX during my set up payment. I had to use my VISA to initially sign up, and then after my first month was complete, change my card for the next payment to AMEX. Not sure if you're in the same situation or not.

Canadian only: Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, AMEX

Prepaid VISA from Scotia also apparently works.

@Liamadir,  I think you are correct in that the system will only accept Canadian credit cards.  The only other thing to try is either a different browser, or using your browser in private/incognito mode.

After that, you can either use vouchers, or, perhaps get a trusted freind's credit card.
