When your port is successful, your old plan carrier will be automatically cancelled. But it's always good to call them after the port to see if your old plan is still active. This ensures you're not paying for the old plan.

You might want need to contact them after thr port is done to ensure they prorate your final bill. It took me 4 months for bell to finally issue my final invoice, and adjust my invoice.
