I activated a sim card and choose a number, then went to use it however the number is already in use. What do I do?

@jm874 ,
When did you get this message?
You can change your phone number every 30 days with Public Mobile.
Do you have any services now? If not, make sure to
*turn off your phone, leave off for at least 3 minutes, then reboot
*removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it
*go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode
*reboot your phone again
Unless you activated a SIM with a new number, then you should be able to have the option change your number in your SELF SERVE account OR if not, follow @HALIMACS post to contact the Moderators to help you with this.

You can sign into your self serve and try "Change number" option under My Profile if that availability exists.
Or you can contact the moderators and explain the issue to them so they can assign you a different number.
To contact a moderator, there are 2 methods:
- Use the ticketing system for a faster response time. Click on the chat bubble in the lower right and type moderator assistance, then select account-related issue, then select you need a human now. Follow the prompts to submit a ticket, or,
- Send a private message to the moderator by clicking here
Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.
