Number Forwarding

Obice

Hello,

Recently I tried to add my Public number to my Fongo number so that if someone called my Fongo I'd get it on my actual phone but number tells me that my phone number is invalid for forwarding. Whose limitation is this?

Can you call your PM number from Fongo?

if no, is your city or town listed?

Yes, I can. I have a few times.

This list is from the freephoneline site.

I cannot find a list from Fongo.  YMMV

This is unrelated to the Public Mobile service. It's a Fongo problem. Assuming that you're using the correct methods to forward calls, Fongo is using an oudated list of valid phone numbers.

Is your number originally from public mobile or did you port it in?

I ported it in. Public - at the moment - does not have any 519 numbers for Windsor and when I came here from Fido I had a 519 number from Windsor.

Also don't put 1 in front

Is your number originally from public mobile or did you port it in?

@gblackma you read it backward:  @Obice is trying to forward FROM Fongo TO Public Mobile, not the other way around.

This is a new (to me) Fongo number, I have not used it to forward to any number until now.

Hi @Obice

Are you using it with another fongo ur freephoneline? They only allow you to use it once, I had the same problem as I wanted to have more than one person receive the home phone call on their cell, but I already was receiving my personal fongo calls, so I couldn't set it until I removed my number from my personal fongo, then I was free to add it to my home fongo.

So it's fongo limitation
