Several customers had similar issues the last week.
It looks like one way to correct this issue is to put your SIM card in another working phone. Then you should be able to receive talk and text. Then put the SIM card back to your phone and everything should be working.

@Mary_b , if you did not request a number transfer, please use the chat icon on the lower right corner of the webpage to initiate a support ticket. There might be something wrong with the account.
