Changed credit card/ payment accepted/ when I try to make a call ( no active service)

You say an older iPhone. Which model? According to the VoLTE list, Apple iPhones 8 and above with iOS 16 or better work with the network. With current changes to the 3G network, this may have affected the older iPhone?

What phone are you using? Also, if you go into Settings and find Network Settings and reset them and reboot, it should lock on to Public Mobile.

@john651  You pdated the credit card number on file? Did you also click on pay now and resume services?

What is the status of your account when you sign into My Account? Does it show a payment? 

Restart your phone.
