MEP is a term used by Blackberry devices during the days of Blackberry OS.  This usually meant that the phone is locked to another carrier. From what I recall, most of these devices required the MEP4 code, although I do see that you are actually asking about one of Blackberry's Android devices.

Do you have a SIM from another provider that you can try? If that also doesn't work you may need to reach out to a Blackberry tech.

sounds like a similar situation.

Well this is strange.  If mep lock is similar to SIM lock, then why would the phone relock itself?

no idea, maybe like the samsung phones locking to first sim inserted?  maybe it was not unlocked??  not a blackberry person so just throwing things out there?  the link said after 10 attepts phone is perminatly locked but maybe blackberry can do something of phone was originally unlocked.

It was working previously. I can still use the phone but i can't access the pm network. I couldnt figure out how to unlock my sim card basically and i think i tried 10 times to put in the pin.  My phone is supposed to be unlocked, so i think it's a sim card issue. Although, i am not sure. Btw, it's a blackberry priv phone.

Sim cards are never locked. It seems like something wrong with your phone. Insert the sim in another unlocked phone and see if it works.

I have never heard of the term mep locked.  Please explain the behavior in greater detail.  Did this happen suddenly.  Was the phone working previously?
