So I recently lost my current sim card when I removed it during travel in a foreign country. I lost that card and I want my plan and phone number back, and I already have another public mobile sim card that is unregistered. So my question is how do I replace I unlock this new sim with my previous plan and phone number?

Log into self serve, click on the "Plans and add-ons" tab, then "Change SIM card".
You could use this direct link after you log in:

Simple - log into your account. There is an option to change SIM. Follow instructions. You can find the link on the first page after you login on the right hand side
