Long Distance

I just purchased a Canada-US-Mexico plan yesterday and made a call to the US

I get a recording at the beginning saying this call can be subject to long distance charges

Why is this happening. I thought long distance calls were included in the plan

Did you dial 1-Areacode-Number?     need to add in the country code. 

or you might have to dial  +1-areacode-number.  Put in the "+"

They are included in the plan i would ignore that
