Still verifying the truthiness* of this matter
But apparently Koodo can and will mess up your Public Mobile account when you have a dispute with Koodo
Quite seriously despite the fact they use the same system I do not think any Koodo rep on a vendetta should ever touch a Public account
So Public service on one of my phones is currently down for now and I have no idea what account notes say, but I certainly was amazed at the level of validation they require to even discuss my Public account now.
In the old days I would literally write an email "hi mods can you do this" to which response was either "sure" or "cant do because"
Now to access Public Mobile account I need to validate 3+ pieces of ID (birthday, day last payment posted, linked accounts etc)
Bad Koodo

@kav2001c, sorry to hear things are not going well for you. 😞
It looks like Koodo and Public Mobile use the same prepaid system. I wonder if Koodo has the same computer glitches as Public Mobile?

@koimr1 you are correct, the issue is with Koodo and not related to Public
(The only similarity is my name is associated to both accounts; understand I essentially "manage" 4 Telus, 3 Koodo, & 7 Public accounts so when arguing with Fraud departments there is alot of cross referencing going on here right)
1- Dispute is very lengthy and not really appropriate to this board. To view full details hop over to Koodo forums. However to summarize I filed 5 CCTS complaints, 1 PIPEDA complaint, and 1 HRTO complaint against them. There are lots of eyes in my account at this time
2- Public worked fine for quite some time (this particular line active approx 1 year) however all service was cut around noon yesterday. I have spoken with @Mary_M and she confirmed the issue was Koodo related, and both Mary & the CCTS rep advised issue with Public has been resolved now
3- Yes, essentially 2 days after issue (1 day after I started raising heck)

Sorry if I get this wrong as I'm still on my first cup of coffee.
It sounds as though you have an account with Koodo and an account with Public.
You've gotten into a dispute with Koodo and now your Public account is down and you are unable to get assistance from the mods without a lot more identification being presented than usual.
1) What is the nature of your dispute with Koodo?
2) What do you mean by your Public account being "currently down for now"?
3) Did your Public account have problems immediately after your Koodo dispute or was there a period of time in between where it worked fine?
Although I have not been with Public for too long I've only ever seen the need to provide email address, phone number and possibly a PIN code to get assistance from the mods.

I am 99% sure my date of birth is nowhere on Public Mobile profiles (anyone done an activation recently? Was there a box where I might have entered that?)
Which is another proof of linking to Koodo account somehow

I have a dispute with Koodo and basically told them to F themselves
So they are now (wrongfully imo) accessing other accounts associated with my name (Public) even though SIM card in question is being used by a different subscriber
Both brands are under Telus so same reps right

Huh? Account number or phone number plus PIN is what the moderator team need in order to work on an account. As for treatment, do unto others.. If you treat them with disrespect, then don't expect the benefit of the doubt. You can dispute an issue but do it respectfully,

I know mods have asked me for account number and pin number for an account i take care of, but never so much. strange.
Not clear/did't understand on the koodo PM connection
