Costco acer won't allow data

nicholasliampot

Bought an Acer liquid model t03 running Android 5.1 from Costco. It allows dual Sim but I've only tried putting in my Pm sim by itself in slot 1. Calls and texting work fine, but the phone won't allow data transmission. Anyone know how to fix this? Typical settings (I believe) are fine, such as data on. Thanks in advance

I missed all these convos last year and have been suffering w/o text data. Issue hasn't been solved unfortunately.

Wish it could be.

Check your phone and model on willmyphonework.net.
It's will provide you full spec details and you will find out if its gonna work on lte network on public mobile.

OP said that calls and texts worked.  If the phone was missing the required frequencies for voice (850, 1900MHz UMTS), neither would be working at all.  Data also works fine on those frequencies.  So at the very least he/she would be able to use data on those frequencies in HSPA mode at the very least.

As discussed earlier, the access point settings need to be corrected.

I suggest puting default, supl, mms in the APN type field instead of leaving it blank.  Of course, once this new APN is created, make sure that it is selected as the active APN.

I setup my in-laws on PM with the Acer from Costco. The phone will work fine, I can confirm its the APN settings, a quick reset and you'll be off and rolling!
