I added a 500min outgoing call last month. I'm wondering if it will automatically be charged to my account for this month or if it drops off as a one-time thing.

Before you ask later why your add-on is not on your account, PM server will not withdraw fund from your autopay cc similar to renewal process.
Buying add-on is 2 steps process:
1. Add enough fund to your account using your autpay cc or topup voucher.
2. Purchase add-on using your available fund on your account.

One time purchase. Stays on your account and rolls over every 30 days until all used up. Except for 10 day USA add-ons. Meaning they don't roll over 10 days from purchase then they go away.

@JasonRose They are a one time purchase. They last indefinitely on your account until you use them all up, carrying over any unused minutes into the next month and beyond.
