I just went through the activation and picked my new number and paid for the service and my sim card in my phone still has no number associated with it and does nothing.. Ive tried resetting my phone etc and nothing i just have a pub mobile account
I didnt swap numbers i started with a brand new number from pub mobile

I rebooted it again and left the phone alone for a few mins and it started working, thank you for the help

If you got charged, what does your status say on your Self Serve account (https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca) is it ACTIVE?
Try one or more of the below:
*turn off your phone, leave off for a minutes, then reboot
*removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it
*go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode
*reset network settings
EDIT: sometimes (not too often though) new activations don't activate right away and a little time is all it needs. Keep rebooting every 10 mins.

Can you please test it in different phone.
If you don't access to Telus phone you can walk into Telus or Koodo store and ask to test it
