Hi porcupine!Thank you for your reply! Yes, I can still make phone calls. Simply cannot send texts, or photos. 

I tried uninstalling Google messages, but it is impossible to uninstall. All you can do is force quit, which I did, but it didn't do anything.

Hi BKNS27 and thank you for your response! I have already enabled those things. I assumed that I was already texting SMS. Please forgive my ignorance!
