I think that's how it works. I started with PM late November last year, didn't get anything off for November, but there is a 1 dollar loyalty reward in my account now, which will be applied for december.
If you look at monthly badges you can see how many people actually get 1%, $5, 50% etc each month. I think overall it's 100 people or so. Decide from there if your time is worth it.
Best deal I got was from home depot! somebody ordered a counter top in a wrong color, and since it was "custom made" they had at like 60 bucks instead of 500
