I am experiencing the same issue. no dual sim setup, only using my public mobile esim on iphone. Google meet gets stuck trying to join. No issues with other apps.
I have only one esim. The issue is isolated to Google meet app and Public mobile and it happens when I am outside in certain areas in downtown Toronto.
