Ported number from Fido to PM - sms failed

The voice side came over fine, but texting is broken. Fido says PM has to make the request again. How do I initiate that?

I went to turn rcs on again to test it, and status is now CONNECTED! You must bring good luck with you wherever you go. Thanks!

It never connects. If I leave it on, I am unable to text with iPhones. Phone is a Samsung S22. I went from Google Messages to Samsung Messages (which I have never used) and the error is the same.
