Im looking to get the ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML (China, India) from ebay and I wanted to know if it would be compatible with public mobile. when I checked willmyphonework.net it says it will work with 3g 850Mhz/1900mhz and 4g comes up with Band 40-2300...

I have a Geotel Note smartphone that I have been using with Rogers without issue and I just got a PM sim and activated a $30 talk, text and data plan but I cant get any service. Does this phone work with PM?

My problem is that I'm cheap and refuse to pay more than $100 for a phone. I found this one on eBay and have contacted the seller to verify what region this phone is from. I bought a geotel note about a year ago with great specs but it only gets 2g.

I already tried that and it says it doesnt recognize the imei number

According to this: https://apn-canada.gishan.net/en/apn/public-mobile it says public mobile supports 2g GSM 850/1900 mhz which my phone supposedly does, or am i missing something?
