Hi, I'm trying to set up a phone for my mom. She can't handle smartphone and use the basic samsung SGH-C414Y flip phone. For some reason it is unable to connect to public mobile. I know the phone is unlocked. Any suggestion will be much appreciated.

ZTE is definitely cheap with the discount. But the alcatel ones both cost $100, which is the cost of low end smartphone.

Thank you very much for your detail reply. ZTE is cheaper but does it run the same frequency for PM? I'm concerned because I have phones that work for Chatr but not PM. I didn't realise that small flip phones are just as expensive if not more than lo...

My mom has been using it for years with Mobilicity and then Chatr. I tried connecting manually but can't find Public Mobile's network.
