Hi, I have a Canada only package and I’m going to the USA for 3 weeks. I am not going to buy the USA add on package. I want to still be able to get text messages. If I don’t put my phone on airplane mode will I get expensive roaming fees?

I’m currently paying 35 a month for my plan but want to lower my costs and get the $24.00 plan the system does not offer me that option
