I want to move my wife’s phone over to public mobile. Her phone is only 4g, and I want to get her a Canadian-US plan. They only come with 5g. I assume that her 4g phone will work OK on this. Can anyone confirm?

We cruised the Mediterranean last year and got an eSIM, and used it while in each port. Worked well in that way. Planing to get Caribbean in Feb, and planning an eSIM for that as well.
