I believe it's reversed now. The replacment physical sim costs $10, but the e-sim replacement is free (sometimes right away but at least credited back). That's my experience at leqst!
Yah right thanks. It wouldn’t be most free numbers and authorizing a foreign number with a bank before leaving would be difficult. An Authenticator app or forwarding numbers for voice could work if supported. Even if the new number accepted mfa text...
