It is a major US financial institution. I could text help to that short code and receive a response back, but for some reason I can't receive a one time code from that number anymore. This is weird, is public mobile blocking one time code in text msg...
I had similar problems, I msged public mobile support, they apparently refreshed some sms center/network or something and now I can receive shortcode text, like 2FA text from various US services now.
