I have had the same issue. I was talking to a family member in the states and with Verizon they had the same issue coming into canada. If you want more support I believe the tech people who work at walmart can help you.
If you do want to talk to a representative rather than a AI you could always stop by at walmart, there is a tech person there that can support your needs. They seem to have a lot more expertise in this issue as well.
I was in the same boat as you but with further research it hasn't seemed to effect me either or many other users as well. If you have further issues and you lose your rewards, I'd suggest you to contact the Public Mobile Support Team.
