Good info! just a quick question.... do I need to have data to use the VoIp app TextNow? I really don't want to buy data and wifi isn't always available.
Thanks for the info. I looked at network settings on my Samsung S7 and have a choice of 3 network modes for data roaming. auto connect, then WCDMA only and GSM only. Which one would put me into a 2g network?
Bought the talk/text bundle for Hawaii, carrier was T mobile and it doesn't support 3G. Paid $15 and all I got was texting, very disappointed. No way around this I guess unless I pony up the money for 4G coverage up here!
