So my theory was correct - you CAN make calls to the U.S. for free on the plan, used an Idaho TextNow number to get SMS, MMS, and Calls. All worked.
One thing you should note about is if you want to hear the "Please stay on the line as your call is completed, Long Distance charges may apply." message before initiating the call.
Note - just using the area code without a +1 at the front will initiate the message, but if you add a +1 before the area code, then it will be acting like a normal call.
I don't have any other things to note... other than the long wait time to receive a MMS picture from TextNow.

@hTideGnow - Yes, because some people have had issues with the Canada US plan billing them with their bonuses and now I know that they don’t have the plan they thought they had.
And yeah, it was faster connecting to the US with a +1 in front. But no need because Canada and the US share the +1 code. Just a way to get it connected faster but it could also have to do with trouble connecting.

HI @fixin
you meant you can make calls to the US for free on Canada-US plan? If you meant that, yes, it is included
and yes, better to include the 1 in front of the 10 digits. Only try dropping it if there is issue with the call
