Hello everybody I hope u all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I have a very strange issue that started since July somehow I always get it after accessing the internet on my phone whether it is thru WI-FI Telus, or mobile data. It took me a long time to figure out that the phone is the culprit because I managed to clean my laptop from all usual suspects including Firefox & Adobe extra files and also refreshed Telus wi-fi multiple times. I get a malware prompting me to press enter to continue or log me or log me out for 3 hours which actually happened once. The msg is to the effect that a fan on the laptop does not work & to press a link to HP support which I didn't so. That prompt happens immediately after I turn the power on the laptop i.e. before the HP logo comes on or the Microsoft widows start page. I contacted both Microsoft & HP and nothing came thru those attempts except they suggested I take a picture of it with my camera here is what I managed to get "
Any idea on how to deal with this malware is highly appreciated. also let me know if I should contact tech support on Public Mobile and how to go about it. Best way is to contact via email not the phone messaging. Thank you all in advance and have a wonderful day.

Thank you Slusagm, I tried multiple times & managed to actually get rid of it for a while! again anytime I use the phone to access the internet it comes back and takes a long time to get rid of... I appreciate the suggestion but I do not know what are reliable DNS? of course I can't always stop accessing the internet on the phone especially now that most all organizations send codes or request pairing...etc. thank you and have a wonderful weekend

I think just coincidence. But maybe try manually add reliable DNS instead of taking the default one
