I purchased a sim card and aid the minimum amount cash! just to test the signal in my area.
I now want to upgrade to the $30 plan 500 mb of data MMS texts and canada wide calling and set it up for monthly payments on my credit card, I picked out the plan I want, paid some extra and all that has happened is it shows a $30 credit but no plan change.
How do I get a monthy plan going ? Then I want to port my number from existing provider but i think i can manage that. I would appreciate some advice, Thanks

You have only added funds to your account so far. To change plans, simply click change plans when you login. You will have the option to "change now" or "change on renewal". If you "change now", your current plan won't be pro-rated and you'll lose the remaining days on it.
To port your number, login to your account -> plans and add-ons -> change phone number -> Transfer a wireless or wireline number from Public Mobile or another provider

What probably happened is that you onlyadded money to your balance, so all you need to do now is just change your plan again and it should take the money from your balance to pay the new fee.
To port your number, log in to self serve and click "change number". It will give the option to transfer your existing number over.
