I have an old(er) Nokia 2125i model (that's what it says inside). Will it work with Public Mobile networks?

Thanks very much. It does. The Nokia will be consigned to the scrap heap.

A list of acceptable phones can be found on the Get Started page under Compatible Phones.
Please check it out here: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-started
Hope this helps,

@wiggymac https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/qc/get-started
Click on that link and check the list of compatible phones you can use with Public Mobile! If you want a Nokia, get the 3310 3G. It works with the Public Mobile network. I use it!

Yes @wiggymac you need a physical SIM slot for the phone to work on PM. Stay safe. This looks like the Virgin phone that came in the lunch box.

Thx. The pghone does, however, not have a SIM card, something I'm told is necessary if i want it to work. 😞

Thx for this. I understand, however, that if a phone doesn't have a SIM card, it will not work with PM> I an find none, so I'm now not sure again.

@wiggymac No, unfortunately it will not. The phone is too old for PM service as I could find out from my side, but recommend to do a further research.

Found this on another forum, sounds like it could work, you may need to do some deeper research on this.
For 3G/WCDMA/HSDPA Telus uses band 2 and band 5. (1900MHz, 850MHz)
For 4G Telus primarily uses band 4/AWS (1700MHz/2100MHz). In some rural areas one of the four 700MHz variants may be used.
In theory the Nokia will work. It will not have LTE capabilities.
while I was searching looks like you may have your answer lol.

@wiggymac , I checked gsmarena for this phone and drew a blank. You can check specs for your phone against this site. The compatible 3G and LTE bands are listed here.

Doing a quick google search. Says this phone is CDMA which means no sim card slot. Is this correct?
It will NOT work on Public Mobile. Do you have any other phones?
