Hey Gang,
What happens if someone referred put the wrong area code in and therefore the number didn't reject the referral?
What is the best way for this to be rectified?

Hi @maggielinca, If your port is stuck, and you have already sent a private message to the moderator team, there is not much to do but wait. They handle requests on a first come first served basis. Wait time depends on how many others have sent in requests.
In the mean time, you should be able to use your old SIM (7-11). when it dies, you know your port has been completed.

Do you know how long it will take to resolve the phone number porting issue from 7-11 Speakout? I sent a PM to @Moderator_Team with the account information and the details. But I haven't heard anything from them for a while.

As @shartomjam mentioned it cannot be reversed, you need to be exact when entering the referral number. Looks like your friend will need to give you $12 a year for as long as they are with PM.
And @JL9 please be sure to only accept solutions that were made by others. I assume you did this in error. This is put in place to help out the PM community, since there is no actual customer service phone line, these solutions are helpful for those who may not need to contact a moderator.

Its my understanding is referrals can not be added after the fact even if 1 digit was wrong.

I am not sure this can be rectified but you can try sending a PM to @CS_Agent with the account information and the details. There are many other posts where the referral was not entered and the mods are not able to add it after activation.
