Actually, what you are saying makes no sense to me, and does not appear to be relevant  

Everyone keeps saying i should open a ticket with FB.  There is no method to get FB to look at a specific, individual issue.  If there is, please tell me how. The place everyone keeps referring to, "help and support" does not allow you to log a speci...

I'm probably going to switch mobile carriers to see if that solves my problem. 

BTWthe land line number i ported over was a land line number for decades.  pretty sure its not in FB database. 

from where I sit, it absolutely looks like a PM issue.  Not systemic to 2FA texts, but specifically how my land line number was ported over.  some PM setting is not working properly with FB.  FB resolution is to contact my carrier.
