Any tips on porting multiple #s from VirginPlus? Trying to refer the parents in and help them get a better price.

These phones are S20 FE so just to confirm 4G is best. I believe they require a sim card so you would wait until you recieve the new sim put it in and then the old plan/carrier discontinues?

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G model sold by Telus (and also other S20 FE devices intended for sale in Canada) will not work on the 5G network at Public Mobile because of a Samsung software restriction.  You could still get a 5G plan at Public Mobile, and you might sometimes still be able to get the full 250Mbps speeds from a 5G plan, depending on LTE netowrk conditions.  The LTE network is actually much capable of speeds fater than the 100Mbps maximum speeds advertised for the 4G-speed plans.  Yes, you'll need a physical SIMs card as an eSIMs can't be used with your devices.

@Yatti4201  With the s20 you won’t get 5G  network on PM even thou it’s 5G ready phone . But even phone on 4G/LTE you can get better speeds of 100mbs of a 4G plan being on a 5G plan . But yes once you have SIM card in hand you can activate the sim on the PM app not website . And you will have option to transfer number over at time of activation . Once you successfully port number over to PM by leaving old provider sim card in phone to reply YES to the confirmation text to port . Then put PM sim card in phone it will automatically close your old provider account . And welcome to public mobile 🙂

@Yatti4201  yes remember each account is independent and you need a unique email for each account and best to download the app on each phone and set up for the corresponding account /phone and when putting in the referral code it’s right at payment screen bottom on the bill before payment and be sure to watch out for ohs and zeros they can look the same in code

Hi @Yatti4201

you can check if the number can port into PM first
https://secure.koodomobile.com/checktransfereligibilityparrot/default.do

Although you have multiple lines, PM system is one account one line, no family account.  So, you need to use different emal addresses to setup different accounts , one for each phone number

and remember to activate using your own friend referral code

Hey @Yatti4201

Each account has to have it's own separate email address. Then once you're set up on each account, there are instructions for porting over. Very easy to do.
