I just got my sim card activated today, which is supposed to be 5g capable.... however I got to my network settings and there isn't even an adoption for 5g!

Only lte.

What gives?

It would just be nice to be able to have what the sim card said it did.

Well, it *should be* but doesn't have it in the network settings.

I say should, because my spouse has the exact same phone as me (we bought at the same time) and can get 5g

@Jerrica - LTE works about the same speed as 5G (Some TELUS Customers get 500MBPS down on LTE) so you will most likely get upwards of 250mbps of speed.

Plus it is more energy efficient on your phone since it doesn't have to be connected to 5G & LTE at the same time & since PM is VoLTE compatible.

@Jerrica

Did you check your phone to see if it is 5G compatible?
