MMS stopped working as of yesterday

I have a BlackBerry Q10 and MMS' stopped working as of yesterday. Getting various conditions such as red "General Problems" message, as well as a message saying "You have a message awaiting retrieval. Click the button below to download it." with a Download Now button below this text, which does not result in anything being downloaded. It seems every time I switch from a Bell owned network, I keep having texting issues (had other texting issues when I had this phone on Rogers for a few months too). Is there anything that I can do, to avoid having to go back to Virgin, aside from switching devices? Thanks.

I have (had) this problem too, and you might be right about needing a new phone, but using the one I have is better for the world.  We are too quick to throw things out that still have some life in them.  Like me... an oldy but goody.  I fixed it with the suggested manual  solution as suggested and pictured by softec.  I feel empowered!!!!  Cheers

Thank you, fixing the Proxy URL fixed the issue. You are the best!

HI @Sashko

phone older than 2015 will no longer have MMS working.  I don't think Q10 can use the new messaging app like Whatsapp as workaround.  You really need a new phone

Q10 was released back in 2013, so it will be affected by this announcement

Likely you need a new phone to use MMS, but you can first give this one more try:

click Reset All networks or Reset network settings to get the latest APN

Also, you can make a manual update, here are the old and new settings

Old settings:

APN: sp.mb.com
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
APN Type: default,supl,mms
                             or        default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri

New Settings:

APN: sp.mb.com
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: mmscproxy.mobility.ca
MMS port: 8799
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
APN Type: default,supl,mms
                             or             default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri
