Voicemail, 1 866 numbers, and dialing 1 in front of local numbers

Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

These three issues have come up for me in the last year.

1. My phone rings and rings and will not go to voicemail even though I have recorded a greeting

2. I tried calling my insurance company (a 1 866 number) and it would not go through, but works perfectly fine on a land line

3. I have to dial 1 in front of local numbers and I don't know why (my son is also with Public Mobile and does not have this issue).

@mari63 - That is unusual. 1 - 800, 866, etc work usually but 310-xxxx numbers do not tend to work. I tried calling TELUS with the 310 2.2.5.5 and it did not go through but luckily I had a Telus phone nearby and called them using it.

About voicemail, iOS has Live Voicemail, which answers the phone when it is not picked up, and a random greeting will be made. If not, please try if you have any call forwarding restrictions enabled.
