I have subscribed to the $34 plan with 5g coverage. It says 50 gb data within Canada and US. Does that mean we could use the data in US without paying roaming charges ?

@Madan-Mmr - Yes, you can!

Make sure to roam on T-Mobile & AT&T on my recommendation - LTE. 5G can be unstable there. LTE achieves the same or close speeds as 5G. Also enable data roaming in settings. Verizon and Sprint are not any Public Mobile roaming partners.

Also make sure to change on renewal.

With you being able to call Canada number from Canada, call US number from roaming in the US. Call back to Canada number from USA and call to US number from Canada unlimited.

And also you can roam unlimited in both countries as most carriers don't offer that and have a set amount before they kick you off / make you pay.

Public Mobile has none of that and once you enter the USA you will receive the roaming welcome and it will offer you a 15 day package, ignore it, it is for all people on Public Mobile who roam in the states.

@Madan-Mmr

yes, the Canada-US plan allows you to use the service in US just like in Canada.  You can use data/voice/text in US and call US and Canada while you are there

make sure you turn on Mobile roaming data when you are in US and connect to either T-Mobile or AT&T

That's correct @Madan-Mmr

The allotment covers US and Canada, to a total of 50GB data.

In fact, there are NEVER any roaming or extra or surprise charges at Public Mobile.   You either pre-pay for a service or add-on, or it just doesn't work.
