Just a new idea !!!!

When new user sign up they don't know much about public mobile and about the process some users join public mobile by referral some just join by searching plans or clicking on web adds.

Those who join by referral they usually gets helped out pretty quick since they have a referral they can ask the person who asked them to join public mobile

But who new to public mobile and doesn't know much about wireless services I suggest when they activate their sim card self serve should be easy any helpful if they add few basic add-on for how to setup phone apn setting how to port their number what's requires porting mms setting also some users doesn't know if locked phone works with public mobile other then telus or koodo that would be awesome if public mobile work out with third party and add a option to let user unlock their network locked phone so they don't have to panic of hunt for unlocking also not all bee user know how community forum works by adding these small solution in self serve will help lots of new or even existing users who are not familiar with wireless system.

Alot of that info is in teh KNowledge base, but i agree woudl be good to have somewhere more visable.  Also as many have requested a FAQ with most common problems/solutions etc...

@mimmo agreed faq will help i have a friend his father moved to public mobile he's like 70 with no knowledge of how wireless system works only looking for basic call feature moved from Rogers he was so upset with the process without knowing phone has to be unlock and other basic requirements that's why I think it will help if they add basic setting icons on self serve

Things have gotten a lot better since I joined and of course there is always room for improvement.  It must be recognized that no amount of hand holding replaces some savviness on the part of the customer.  My biggest takeaway from what I have seen on the forums the past 6 months is that we have been spoon fed too much by the carriers.  Going to this service is a huge paradigm shift where a moderator only steps in when things go terribly wrong.
