We made the change with no issues to port the number.

@Fishere35 - Yes, calling from Can-US, US-Can, Can-Can, and US-US are free and unlimited with the Canada-US roaming plans. SMS is international for all plans Public Mobile offers when sending in Canada or using a roaming add-on or plan.

thanks for the responses- very appreciated.
the can/us plans allow calling from can to USA and USA to Canada as part of the plan- correct?  Minutes and long distance?  Plus texting?

@Fishere35 - Yes, you can since it is Koodo.

If it is Koodo Postpaid, no need for CS_Agent, just need to provide account number (Recommended) and or IMEI (Worse, but not horrible) and your phone number.

Reply YES to the Koodo port and wait till Koodo SIM has No Service before using Public Mobile SIM.

If it is Koodo Prepaid, Public Mobile CS_Agents will need to port (Link at the bottom of my reply)

And also for accounts you will need to get separate emails as Public Only lets 1 number per email address.

Contact CS_Agent for Koodo prepaid port:

@Fishere35
You would have to port in your number. To do so create an account, select a plan, select eSIM or physics SIM card then. Continue with Payment. Once that portion is complete it will give you the opportunity to transfer your current number. You will receive a text asking to transfer your number you must rely YES and once that’s completed your all set.

Keep in mind your current Koodo service would need to be active in order to transfer your number.

Note that one one number can be attached to one account so for multiple numbers you need multiple accounts. If you decide to switch to Public Mobile whichever number you signed up with first use the referral code for your second number.
