I'm on the $10 prepaid plan.

 

When I call my PM number I've enabled the extended absence option but it still shows a line item on my usage at around 7 seconds.

There is a learning curve I find here, but once you get to know most of it, it will become second nature. Smiley Happy

 

Yes, it can be confusing.  As long as your minutes don't get used for those 7 seconds, you should be fine....
