I would like to hear REAL experience people had transferring REAL land line to current (active, few years existing) PM account.
As land line cannot receive SMS what is going to happen if I proceed with porting in land line number.
PLEASE, no theoretical answers. I know it can be done but would like to hear from people who did it. Thanks.
And this is NOT helpful at all:

Great job PM...

I understand that porting a landline to Public Mobile is possible, but I’m looking for real experiences from people who have actually done it. Specifically, I’d like to know what happens since landlines can’t receive SMS during the porting process. If you’ve successfully transferred a landline to an existing PM account, please share your experience. Thanks!

I ported my landline to my cell (purely selfish reasons - I’ve had that number for 30 years). No issues at all and it now has Canada/USA/Mexico calling. It took a bit longer to transfer a landline to mobile phone, but no issues other than dealing with the prior landline carrier and their bs excuses about why landlines are important.

HI @Yummy
landline and VoIP are both on the same category
if you are picky , even you can argue two Bell liens could be different. Why? their location would be different, the circuits on the 2 Bell lines would be different, etc. Every case is unique if you want a real answer

I did one from Fongo, it tooks 4 days.
Thanks but Fongo is NOT a real land line (as I know it is just another VOIP app).
I need experience from REAL companies like Bell or similar.

This is nice to hear but I would still like to hear from Real customers. If nobody replies I might bug you to talk to your referral and get more details.
Thanks!

No real experience in this matter personally but if porting in from the Big Three (+Sasktel) porting should complete within 2 business days. Request porting on a regular business day preferably Monday or Tuesday at the start of the business day.
Interesting that @Chalupa_Batman reports that Bell called for authorization as generally no authorization is required for landlines. Full name, address and account # along with the phone # is requested to port.

As you know @Yummy porting over a land line can take up to 7 business days. One of my referrals did exactly that. It took her 4 days and got a call from BellMTS to confirm the transfer. Once she said yes, 5 minutes later her land line was cut off and the number was ported to PM.
